Special Needs Programs
For the past three years we have offered children, teens and adults with special needs an opportunity to experience and enjoy the Flip Factory programs. The results have been fantastic! Many parents have commented on the improvements their children have made with exposure to well thought out and fun activities. We have taken a few different approaches with participants who have special needs. Each individual is different and our goal is to find an approach which works well for the participant, fellow participants, coaches and care givers.
Many of our participants have integrated into our mainstream preschool and youth programs. Depending upon each individual’s abilities, either a parent or aid participates in the class or watches from the viewing area and provides additional assistance when required. In some instances, our participants have been able to completely integrate into the class without the need of a parent's support.
We are also able to offer private classes and group or school bookings on either an ongoing basis or periodically during the year.
For the 2010 - 2011 season we will continue to offer individuals with special needs an opportunity to integrate into our regular programs. We are also able to offer private classes and school or group bookings. This approach will give participants and their care givers more freedom to move about the gym focussing on events and activities which appeal to each individual. Coaches will actively encourage participants to try new skills and activities however, should a participant wish to spend more or less time at a particular station, the option is there.

- Cerebral Palsy
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
- Amputees
- ADD and ADHD
- Autism and Asperger's
- Brain injuries
