FLIP SAMPLER

Trampoline!  Circus Arts!  Gymnastics!  The Flip Sampler combines three exciting activities rolled into one action packed program.  Flip Sampler classes are of mixed levels for boys and girls, 5.5 - 9 years old and 9+ years old. We can accommodate the beginner through to the advanced recreational athlete. Each participant is encouraged to work to their full potential and will be guided by certified coaches specializing in the various disciplines.

Trampoline skills are taught using safe, logical progressions. Fundamental non-inverted basics must be mastered before "flipping". Safety, control and technically correct skills are the focus for the trampoline component of this program.

The Circus Arts component will include juggling, tightwire, diablo, devil sticks,  hooping and poi. Kids will love the variety that this class has to offer!

The Gymnastics component of Flip Sampler will give participants an opportunity to improve upon and learn new skills using the bars, vault, mini tramps, rings, ropes, beams and tumbling mats.

 

LOTS OF TRAMPOLINE

Participants focus on trampoline activities in this class.  Flip Factory has 4 full sized rectangular tramploines, a 40' trampoline tumble track, and mini tramps.  Proper technique, logical progressions and challenging skills and sequences are emphasized in this program.  No experience is necessary!  Each participant works on skills suitable for his or her level.  This class can accomodate beginner through advanced recreational trampolinists.  Classes will be held for participants 6-8 years old and 9+ years.

 

EXTREME KIDS

This program is designed for kids 8-12 years of age and kids 10-15 years of age who crave variety and challenges! This is also a fantastic cross training program like no other.  Weekly classes rotate through an exciting array of activities: 

Mission Impossible:  A giant obstacle course which combines gymnastic type activities, endurance and the ability to problem solve.

Reverse Bungee:  This has been a huge hit for the past 3 years at the Flip Factory.  Basically a giant jolly jumper that allows participants to reach heights of 12' in a single jump.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn flips in this apparatus.

Gladiators:  A fun, semi-combative program which provides participants with a number of individual and team challenges.

Parkour: We've taken a fun, safe approach to this wildly popular activity of navigating an urban environment with a gymnastics twist.  Build strength, flexibility and endurance.  Learn how to land safely.  Learn how to climb, somersault and vault.

GYM & JUMP

Gym & Jump gives children and youth the opportunity to learn skills on gymnastics events (vault, bars, beams, ropes, rings, tumbling mats) and trampoline events (mini tramp, tumble track, and trampolines).  Lots of activity, lots of turns, and emphasis is on a FUN approach to skill development.  This is a great transistion between the preschool program Kindergym, and youth programs such as Extreme Kids or Flip Sampler.

 

DEMO TEAM

The Flip Factory Demo Teams perform choreographed group gymnastic, acrobatic, and circus routines.  The team performs at events in Calgary during the year in addition to a few out of town events.  This program is open to all ages.  Some gymnastics experience is required.  We run two Demo Team programs (Jr. & Sr.)  Sr. programs are for participants with more experience in gymnastics.  Participants commit to a full year (Sept-Jun) with this program.  Registration is not available online for Demo Team.  Please give us a call if you would like more information or to register.  403 265 2656.

 

For your child's safety and comfort, please adhere to the following for all our classes: 

  • be on time for classes
  • bring a water bottle
  • long hair must be tied back
  • no jewelry or large hair bobbles
  • wear shorts or pants that stretch and do not have zippers, buckles, buttons or belts 
  • wear a t-shirt or sweat top that will not slide over the head when participant is upside down; tighter fitting is better
  • bare feet are best; thin rubber soled gym slippers are okay
  • layer clothing, especially in the colder months
  • participants are not permitted on the equipment before the class starts or after the class has finished
  • participants will be instructed to sit in the gym if a parent is late for pickup

Note: Class cost excludes GST and $25/participant/year insurance and registration fee. Our insurance year is July 1 - June 30. Monthly payment plans are also available.
